HICKRA

SwingDNA — Your golfer profile

11 questions about how you play, and one of them is required. Hickra reads them against what the equipment records actually hold, so every answer you give is one more thing a club can be checked against — and every one you skip is simply not checked, never held against a club.

About your game

One question, and it is the only one Hickra actually needs.

Which way do you swing?Required

The only answer Hickra needs. A club built the other way round is unusable, not a worse fit.

What you are after

Answer this one even if you skip the rest — it takes a tap and it maps to real club traits.

What would you change?

Pick as many as apply, or none.

Swing and flight

How the ball behaves when you hit it well, and where it goes when you do not. Answer what you know and leave the rest.

What shape is your normal shot?

The one you hit when it comes off right.

And when it goes wrong?

The miss you know is coming. This is the single most useful thing you can tell us.

How high do you flight it?
Would you change that?

The question above says what your flight is. This one says what you want, and they are not always the same.

What is your tempo like?

Wedges and putting

Different swings at different clubs, so they get their own questions. A golfer who hits up on a driver can still take a divot with a wedge.

What is the ground like where you play?

Wedges are the one club this changes. Firm ground and soft ground want different soles.

Around the green, what do you leave behind?

The most direct read there is on how you deliver a wedge — and not the same as your driver.

How does your putter travel?

The one putter decision a fitter would make for you — a face that stays square, or one free to rotate.

Blade or mallet?

Taste rather than fit — plenty of tour players putt beautifully with both.

Your numbers

Only if you have been on a launch monitor. Nothing here is expected.

Add your numbers

Every one is optional, and a blank is not a gap Hickra fills in with an average — it is simply one fewer thing checked against a club.

These answers are a starting point, not a fitting. They are compared against the specifications in the equipment records — nothing here measures your swing, and hitting a club is still the only way to know how it performs for you.
