Your email address, if you join the waiting list — and nothing else about you. No name, no phone number, no address, no card. We also record which page you arrived from, when a link carries that, so we know whether anyone is finding us.

Page views, counted without cookies and without identifying anybody. We can see that a page was viewed. We cannot see that you viewed it.

Two kinds of cookie in the demonstration, both set by Hickra and read only by Hickra: one remembers your light or dark preference and anything you save while looking around, and one remembers the answers you give SwingDNA so it can show you why a club matches. They stay in your browser. Clearing them removes everything.

• No advertising identifiers, no third-party advertising, no tracking pixels, and no cross-site profiling.
• No location. The distance filter in the demonstration works from a place you type, and it is not stored.
• No payment details of any kind. Nothing on Hickra takes money yet, and when it does, card details will go straight to the payment provider and never through us.
• No contacts, photographs, or files.
• Nothing at all is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising. There is no arrangement under which that could happen.

To send you one email confirming you want to be on the list, and later to tell you when Hickra opens. That is the whole purpose. Your address is not used for anything else and is not passed to anyone.

We ask you to confirm by clicking a link before you are properly on the list. That is deliberate — it means nobody can add your address but you.

Three companies, each doing one job and none of them permitted to do anything else:

• Vercel — hosting and the cookieless page counting
• Supabase — the database the list is stored in
• Resend — sending the confirmation email

We would also hand over information if the law required it. Nobody has ever asked, and there is very little to hand over.

Until you ask us to remove it, or until Hickra opens and you decide not to join — at which point the list has served its purpose and is deleted. If you never confirm, the unconfirmed address is removed after a few weeks.

Wherever you live: tell us what you hold about me, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing me. Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and you can write to privacy@hickra.com for anything else. We answer within 30 days and usually the same week.

These are not conditional on where you live. We would rather offer them to everybody than work out who can demand them.

There are no passwords, so there is nothing to leak. The list is stored in a database whose access rules deny everything by default, and it is not readable by the website at all — no request from a browser can reach it, only the server that writes to it. Everything travels encrypted.

No system is perfect. If something happened that affected you, we would tell you directly rather than wait to be asked.

Hickra is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly add them to the list. If we learn we have, the address is deleted.

When Hickra opens, this page gets longer — accounts, listings, messages and payments all bring data this policy does not yet cover, and each will be described here before it exists rather than after. Material changes are posted here with a new date, and if you are on the list we will tell you.
